changeover switch
A changeover switch, more commonly called an SPDT switch, is a type of switch that can be positioned in two closed states. The switch has three pins: the "common" (C) pin, the "normally closed" (NC) pin, which is connected to the common pin when the switch is not pressed, and the "normally open" (NO) pin, which is connected to the common pin when the switch is pressed.
